• The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Bratislava presents its compliments and is honored to announce that the period of exemption of fees for issuing tourist visas to Egypt has been extended for travelers to the governorates of South Sinai, the Red Sea, Luxor and Aswan until April 30th, 2021.

Required documentation

• passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from date of return from Egypt)
• 2 personal pictures (passport format, white background)
• filled visa request form - Visa Application Form
• travel ticket
• accommodation reservation (alternatively a confirmation from the travel agency on the purchase of a touristic package trip)
• foreigners must show their Slovak residence 
• request for visa must be made in person (or a close relative or a person holding an official empowerment stamped by the notary) - not applicable for travel agencies
• for business visas it is necessary to provide the reason for travelling to Egypt (i.e. invitation letter from Egypt, acknowledgement letter by the Slovak company, confirmation on study program, confirmation on taking part in a conference..etc)

Visas at the airport

• Slovak nationals have the possibility to obtain a single entry 30 day stay touristic visa at any international airport in Egypt. Their passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of return from Egypt. 
• Business visas are not granted at the airports in Egypt and may be granted only via the Egyptian Embassy.

Free visa

• close relatives of Egyptian nationals may be granted a free visa (husband/wife/children) free of charge.
• additional required documents:
  • passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from date of return from Egypt)
  • Slovak residence (for non Slovak citizens) 
  • marriage certificate (original)
  • passport of the wife or husband
